Sempur

The neighborhood's namesake.  Apparently Sempur means "lap," as in around the track.  Sunday mornings the field fills up with a flea market where goods are cheap and people come in droves.

Though mostly a worker's village the neighborhood boasts some stately homes.  These guys got it right with the deep balcony.

My daily commute to work takes me up this steep flight of steps.  I rather like it.

This little suspension bridge near my home leads to the opposite side of the ravine.  At the top is a fine market where many desirable goods familiar to the westerner may be purchased.

A rare sight in Bogor due to the omnipresent jungle canopy and frequent overcast skies.
